I believe it is not mandatory to agree with the scholars on the definition of happiness and ways of maintaining it in life. Such a potential remains well reflected in your post as your reasoning remains grounded on your sincere thoughts, which in its way serves as a vital way of achieving some peace of mind thus happiness in the long run. I congratulate you. However, I also believe Aristotle makes sense when he associates happiness with being moral. According to Aristotle, people are gifted with great minds, which can be of relevance in defining their reasoning capabilities. Proper reasoning allows a person to remain moral in all their deeds; thus, whatever they acquire in life remains in line with the set rules/regulations and laws, forming a solid basis of a long-lasting form of happiness.
